On Common Fixed Point of Generalized Contractive Mappings in Metric Spaces

Existence of common fixed points is established for two self-mappings satisfying a generalized contractive condition. The presented results generalize several well known comparable results in the literature. We also study well-posedness of a common fixed point problem related to these mappings. Full text

In this paper, we prove a fixed point theorem for a pair of generalized weakly contractive mappings in complete partial metric spaces.
